Welcome to the home of Twinsburg Baseball!
The TBL Board of Directors is in the process of selecting coaches, forming teams, and finalizing our sponsors. All parents of registered players in the Tee-ball, Coach Pitch, Juniors, and Minors divisions should expect to hear from their child's coach shortly after the TBL Coaches Meeting, which takes place from 6-8 PM on March 18th at the Twinsburg Community Center. Weather permitting, practices for those divisions are slated to begin on Saturday, March 29th.
Tryouts for Twinsburg's rec tournament teams will take place on Sunday, April 6th at Liberty Park from 11 AM to 3:30 PM. Twinsburg will field rec tournament teams in five age divisions: 8U Coach Pitch (players MUST be Coach Pitch 8U rec players), 9U, 10U, 11U, and 12U. Your child's age on May 1, 2014 determines which team they can try out for. For example, kids 9 and under on May 1 can try out for 9U. Tryout times are listed below. Our backup site to Liberty Park in the event of inclement weather will be the Twinsburg Fitness Center.
Applications to coach one of these five teams must be submitted to email@example.com by March 30, 2014.
8U Coach Pitch - 11 AM, Liberty 2
9U - 12:30 PM, Liberty 2
10U - 2 PM, Liberty 2
11U - 11 AM, Liberty 1
12U - 12:30 PM, Liberty 1
The tryouts for the rec league tournament teams have been moved up to early April to give those teams a few extra practices together before they start playing in tournaments. Twinsburg's rec tournament teams always fare vary well against other communities in tournaments, proof that kids looking for a little more competitive experience do not have to go outside of a rec program and play in a travel league to get that. Twinsburg is committed to maintaining a strong and competitive rec program, and these rec tournament teams are a big part of that commitment. Each rec tournament team will play in three tournaments in 2014, one in May, one in June, and one in July. And generally practice once a week on Sundays.
Registration is closed for most divisions for the 2014 rec baseball season (registration open until May 10 for the Majors division and May 31 for the Seniors division). Late registrations will be processed until March 12, 2014 for the Tee-ball and Minors divisions. How old your child will be on August 31, 2014 determines which division you should sign them up for. Here are our age divisions:
Tee-ball: 5-6 years old
Coach Pitch 7: 7 years old
Coach Pitch 8: 8 years old
Juniors: 9-10 years old
Minors: 11-12 years old
Majors: 13-14 years old
Seniors: 15-16 years old
Note that the age cut off date for the 2014 rec league is Aug 31, 2014 (your child's age on that day determines their division). For the rec tournament teams and travel baseball teams, the date cut off is different, May 1. So for the rec tournament team tryouts that happen on April 6th, how old your child is on May 1, 2014 will determine which age division (8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U) they will be eligible to try out for. For the tryouts for the 2015 travel baseball teams this coming August, how old your child is on May 1, 2015 will determine their age division.

We are always looking for sponsors for our rec baseball teams! Sponsors provide incredible exposure for local businesses for a very low price, and also help keep the costs low for children to play baseball in Twinsburg, so no kids are left out. Sponsoring a youth baseball team is a great way to make your company visible in the community while making a difference and supporting youth baseball in Twinsburg. Email us at email@example.com if you are interested in more details on sponsoring a team!
Twinsburg's 2014 Travel Baseball teams have been chosen! You can see which boys will be representing the city of Twinsburg in 2014 in all of the various age groups by hovering over the "Travel Baseball" tab on the top left of the home page of the site.
Have some old baseball bats that your kids will never use again taking up space in the garage? Make a difference and donate them to TBL! Donated bats help keep TBL equipment costs down, which helps keep registration costs low for parents, and it also allows the league to allocate more money towards upkeep of the fields, trophies, and uniforms. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have a bat or two to donate to the league. We're going to be organizing a drop off day this winter.
Another successful Fall Ball season is in the books! And the weather was GREAT!!!!! Demand was off the charts this year - more and more kids want to play fall baseball each season here in Twinsburg. We had over 300 parents express an interest this fall, which is more than double the interest we saw as recently as a couple years ago.
Next year registration will open earlier, and there will be a two week window for kids that played Twinsburg rec or travel ball in the spring/summer to sign up before we welcome players from other communities. We also anticipate being able to double the number of teams in each division due to additional field availability for the 2014 fall season.
MANY thanks to each of the 50 travel baseball teams that came out to Twinsburg for the 2013 Stars & Stripes Twinsburg Travel Baseball Tournament this year. TBL was lucky enough to recently have an anonymous donor give $1,000 to the league! As with all donations, the monies will be put towards improving the fields and the experiences for the children that take part in our excellent rec baseball league.
TBL mandates that our volunteer head coaches take an online training course to become registered members of the National Youth Sports Coaching Association and also that they take an online concussion training course. Both courses are also highly recommended for our assistant coaches and any other parents that help out with their children's teams.
Support Twinsburg Baseball partner Dicks Sporting Goods, who helps with team sponsorship costs, equipment, and discounts for our parents and players on their equipment purchases each season!!!
